Global Excellence English introduction

The aim of Global Excellence in Health is to promote the skilled, internationally outstanding professional environments.

Acknowledgement and Visibility
To acknowledge and make the many world-class hospital and university environments in the Capital Region more visible, the Regional Council has launched the Global Excellence – In Health award.

The award is established in close collaboration with the University of Copenhagen and the Technical University of Denmark.

Criteria
Applicants must excel in their performances within research, development and implementation of new, innovative knowledge and technologies as well as new courses of treatment aimed at healthcare services in Denmark.

Global Excellence is awarded on the basis of performance in the areas of:

  • Research and development
  • Education
  • Examination and treatment of patients
  • Innovation
  • Dissemination


15 Global Excellence Winners
In 2010, ten Global Excellence awards were granted. In 2011, five additional awards were announced. The Global Excellence award is accompanied by a €200,000 grant.
