Educated in Hamburg, nurse Nicole Kubin has been employed at the Department of Neurology at Herlev Hospital since June 2008.

Why did you choose exactly this job and this specialty?

I wanted to develop and learn a specialty that was completely new to me.

What aspects would you point out as favourable at your hospital and department if you were to tell about it to a new colleague?

I have come to a department that is very open to nurses from abroad. I was fortunate to receive really good training in the department. Also, I got some really good colleagues who were (and are) incredibly patient with all my questions and my peculiar Danish in the beginning. I have become well integrated in the department and feel that I am part of the overall staff.
