Bornholms Hospital

The Hospital of Bornholm is in charge of the treatment of approx. 43,000 citizens living on Bornholm as well as a large number of tourists. The Hospital of Bornholm enjoys a special status because of the geographical position of the island. For this reason the hospital has an emergency department in spite of its small catchment area. The Hospital of Bornholm has approx. 600 employees.

The Hospital of Bornholm manages most specialties at the main function level independently. The medical staffing of the Hospital of Bornholm is ensured through a permanent staff and a number of medical consultancy arrangements as well as telemedical solutions.
