Glostrup Hospital is a local hospital for 130,000 citizens in the southwestern part of the Capital Region of Denmark. Glostrup Hospital has approx. 3,300 employees.

Glostrup Hospital has Denmark’s biggest and most specialized emergency eye department and the region’s knowledge center for interdisciplinary back treatment. In addition, the hospital is in charge of a substantial part of the treatment of rheumatic diseases in the region.

Internal medicine, surgery, and emergency department
Glostrup Hospital is in charge of the following medical functions: general internal medicine as well as cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, lung medicine, and geriatrics. In addition, the hospital manages elective surgical and orthopedic-surgical functions with a medical staff attached to Hvidovre Hospital.

The emergency department of Glostrup Hospital serves the needs of patients from the local community with acute, minor injuries.

A strong profile in neurology
Glostrup Hospital has a strong profile in neurology. The hospital is in charge of main and specialized functions within neuro-surgery (back), clinical neuro-physiology, and neurology.

In connection with its neurological profile the hospital is home to a dementia team at the main function level and a headache center at the specialized level.
