Daniel Hutter is researching the use of virtual reality simulation-based training for ophthalmic surgery. He aims to improve surgical skill acquisition, ensuring patient safety, and ultimately reducing global blindness.

He plans to further develop evidence that surgical simulation can be a valuable tool for eradicating global blindness by training surgeons in vision restoring surgery.
