European Trauma Course - ETC

​European Trauma Course (ETC) is a 3-day multi-professional course for trauma team leaders and members. The course focuses on teamwork and the handling of the patient during recieving and treatment at the hospital.

Learning objectices

At the ETC course doctors and nurses are engaged in learning and training

 

  • a systematic approach to the trauma patient
  • ​to handle the initial assessment and treatment of the trauma patient as leader and part of a team.

 

Form and content

The course is a new concept covering both team communication and certain clinical skills. It is required that the participants have knowledge about and experience with the initial treatment of trauma patients.

The training is interactive and demands a high level of activity from the participants.

The course ends with an assessment of the participants through a practical exam.

The course is held by Danish Resuscitation Council (DRG) with support from TrygFonden.

Surgeons, anaesthesiologists and nurses taking part in the treatment of trauma patients as part of their daily work in the clinic.
