CAMES Surgical Simulation Masterclass

The Copenhagen Academy for Medical Education and Simulation (CAMES Rigshospitalet) invites you to join a Surgical Simulation Masterclass on the 18-22 June 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The 5-day masterclass is designed to prepare leaders and medical educators to develop, implement and run evidenced-based simulation programmes in surgical training based on solid theoretical frameworks. The masterclass will have a very practical focus that will allow the participants to directly implement the learned skills in their own context.

The CAMES Surgical Simulation Masterclass consists of intensive lectures, group discussions, workshops, and hands-on train-the-trainer courses with phantoms, virtual-reality simulators, and live animals.

Learn HOW to:

  • Design a curriculum that includes: general and targeted needs assessment; goals and objectives; teaching and learning methods; implementation plans; structured evaluation.
  • Develop dedicated custom-built training models.
  • Use effective and evidence-based teaching methods for surgical training and simulation-based certification (mastery learning).
  • Plan and conduct research studies regarding surgical simulation.
