Regional Growth and Development Strategy

The regional growth and development strategy charts a course for future development in The Capital Region of Denmark.

The regional growth and development strategy charts a course for future development in the capital region. Comprised of growth and development-oriented components, the strategy builds on dialogue with politicians, local authorities, companies, organisations, knowledge institutions and citizens.

The strategy is based on a ambitious political vision of creating a green and innovative metropolis with high growth and quality of life, to be achieved through targeted investment within four business sectors.

The Greater Copenhagen initiative will support the realisation of the strategy.

Greater Copenhagen is a metropolitan region that spans Eastern Denmark and Skåne in Southern Sweden. The 79 municipalities in Greater Copenhagen are home to 3.9 million inhabitants and Scandinavia’s largest recruitment base of highly-skilled employees.
