We facilitate and collaborate
The role of the region is to facilitate a wide collaboration at regional level between municipalities and educational institutions on common goals.
This includes
Support for development projects: Every year the Capital Region of Denmark supports development projects with about DKK 35 mill. These projects will contribute to realising visions and goals in the educational strategy of the Capital Region of Denmark, which is a part of The Regional Development Plan.
Distribution of upper secondary school pupils: The Capital Region of Denmark acts as secretariat for the four distribution committees of the region that distribute pupils in upper secondary school and higher preparatory examination programmes to the educational institutions of the region.
Coordination of upper secondary education programmes: In collaboration with the educational institutions, the Capital Region of Denmark coordinates the overall initiatives in the region to ensure a connection between geography and capacity at upper secondary education programmes and adult education programmes.
