ORESUND AWARD – IN HEALTH 2015
The Capital Region of Denmark and Region Skåne, Sweden, have established the annual
ORESUND AWARD to recognise, profile and promote leading clinical and research healthcare environments, which are able to create and cultivate strong, mutual collaborations that develop and provide pioneering new therapies and healthcare services across the Oresund strait.
The ORESUND AWARD is presented to one winner comprising either two, or a group of, collaborating clinical and research environments whose unique skill sets and fully established cooperation bring added value and synergy to the healthcare field for the benefit of people living in the Capital Region of Denmark and Region Skåne.
In addition to adding value for the people living in both regions, the recipients of the ORESUND AWARD must display high-quality clinical work and research as well as demonstrate excellence in their collaborative efforts.
The ORESUND AWARD is accompanied by a DKK 1.6 million grant that must be applied to the continued development and internationalisation of the collaborative efforts of the environments who have received the award.WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
All clinical and research environments in the Capital Region of Denmark and Region Skåne who have created a true collaboration across the Oresund strait are
eligible to apply for the ORESUND AWARD, but at least one party must be from the Capital Region of Denmark and the other from Region Skåne. All applicants must be professionally and organisationally separate units in hospitals, mental health centres or universities in their respective regions. The lead applicant must be organisationally linked to the regional health services in Region Skåne and the Capital Region of Denmark.APPLICATION PROCESS AND FURTHER INFORMATION
