Originally from Germany, Lina has studied developmental and health psychology in the Netherlands, and moved to Aarhus, Denmark, to obtain a PhD degree. During this project, supervised by Prof. Charlotte Ulrikka Rask and Martin Køster Rimvall, she investigated various mechanisms underlying the development of Functional Somatic Symptoms in young people. During her postdoctoral research, Lina plans to continue this investigation, while extending her research to study psychiatric and societal outcomes of severe symptoms in early adulthood.
