Co-creation and youth panel

The CCC2000 research project has established its own youth panel consisting of 7 engaged ambassadors close to the age of the birth cohort that the project collects data on. The purpose of the youth panel is to create a direct dialog and close collaboration with representatives of those it is all about, to ensure that the research is relevant and relevant to those it concerns. Through the panel's input, we work to ensure that the research reflects the needs of the population and is applicable to the prevention and treatment of mental health problems and mental illness in young adults. The Youth Panel has helped test the questionnaire to ensure it is clear and understandable for participants.

A new initiative involving young people

On December 2, 2024, the CCC2000 Youth Panel was officially established. With the creation of the Youth Panel, we embrace the paradigm that sees user involvement and co-creation as crucial elements in developing a sustainable healthcare system. The hope is that the Youth Panel will bridge the gap between the target group and the research community, making our work even more relevant and meaningful.

Who is the Youth Panel and how does it work?

The Youth Panel consists of 7 ambassadors who represent the birth cohort that the research project is collecting data on. The ambassadors are selected based on motivated applications expressing their interest in contributing to the panel.

The CCC2000 is a population survey that includes a wider population regardless of their mental health or mental illness. They thus represent both a citizen perspective and, in some parts of their lives, a patient or user perspective. The ambassadors' contributions are based on their personality, professional interests and the life experiences they bring with them.

During the cohort's 25-year follow-up, we meet with the youth panel approximately once a month for workshops where we work together on current issues and tasks in the project. This includes: 1) Communication, including co-creating a podcast to communicate the project's topics and results to the population and the target group; 2) Discussing ethical dilemmas and questions from the research group; or 3) Testing and improving questionnaires to ensure a high response rate and optimal data quality.

A meaningful collaboration
