Notification of health scientific research projects concerning particularly complex will take place to the National Committee on Health Research Ethics (DNVK). Read more about this under “Notifications for DNVK”.

Other research projects should be notified to one of the 11 existing regional scientific ethical committees. Notification must be made to the scientific ethical committee in the region where the person responsible for clinical trials in the project works.

Cross-border multi-centre-trials must always be notified in Denmark. If there are several persons responsible for clinical trials in Denmark, and if the research project is not covered by the duty of notification to DNVK, the multi-centre-trial must be notified to the regional committee where the coordinating person responsible for clinical trials works.
