The Capital Region of Denmark opens for drop-in vaccinations

From Monday 20 October, citizens in the target group for vaccinations will be able to visit the Capital Region of Denmark’s nine vaccination clinics without an appointment and get vaccinated against influenza and Covid-19.

The Region’s vaccination centres have been busy since the vaccination season started on 1 October. The Danish General Practitioners Vaccination Service has also been busy helping with vaccinations at its many vaccination centres.

After the first big push at the vaccination clinics is over, the Capital Region of Denmark will open the service for citizens in the target group to visit the Region’s vaccination clinics without booking an appointment and get vaccinated against influenza and Covid-19.

Vulnerable children and young people must continue to book an appointment for vaccinations at vacciner.dk.

“Many citizens have already had their annual vaccination, and to make it even easier for citizens to get a vaccine, we are now opening our own nine vaccination centres so that you can visit us whenever it fits into your schedule without an appointment. We hope this will make it easier for citizens to accept the offer of vaccinations,” says Lars Gaardhøj (Social Democratic Party), Chairman of the Regional Council.

Vaccinations without an appointment are offered at the Capital Region of Denmark’s nine hospitals and health centres and are available during the vaccination clinics’ opening hours. However, admission closes 30 minutes before the vaccination clinic closes. The last half hour is dedicated to getting the latest arrivals through.
You can find a map of the vaccination clinics’ opening hours on the Danish Health Authority’s website

The Danish General Practitioners Vaccination Service is helping the regions again this year to offer vaccinations.

In addition to the Capital Region of Denmark’s nine vaccination clinics, the Danish General Practitioners Vaccination Service has almost 70 different vaccination centres throughout the Capital Region of Denmark, which, with varying opening hours, help ensure a more local offer for the Region’s citizens.

The Danish General Practitioners Vaccination Service does not offer a drop-in service, and you must still book an appointment at www.vacciner.dk
