The Emergency Medical Service in the Capital Region of Denmark offers an international internship program for ambulance care students who have reached the final part of their education in cooperation with other emergency medical services around the world.
The program offers a unique opportunity for the students to gain international work experience and for other countries' emergency medical services to learn from our experience. It is designed to enhance the professional and personal development of the students, providing a deeper understanding of other cultures and enhancing international cooperation.
The program also aims to help students in getting to know their own profession in a different context, to discover tools used in other countries, to understand international norms and practices different from the Danish, to actively participate in partner institutions professional life and to develop and reflect on intercultural skills.

Program Structure Duration:
The internship lasts for a minimum of 30 days.
Destinations: USA and Scotland (other countries will follow)
Sector: The internships are specifically tailored for ambulance care providers and related areas within emergency medicine and pre-hospital treatment.

The students must be enrolled in the ambulance care program and have completed the previous parts of their education. It is required that the student can show sufficient English skills, or other local language of the host country, equivalent to level B2.
