A tender strategy is now ready and this strategy will be the foundation of the construction of the new hospital. It has been developed in cooperation with the project organization’s main consultant and COWI, and it is divided into three phases. The tender strategy has been tested by several contractors and is now final.
The first of three phases will take place in the second and third quarter of 2018, while the third (and last phase) is expected to end in the third quarter of 2019.
The construction of the hospital is expected to begin at the end of the summer 2018.
“The tender model of New North Zealand Hospital (NNZH) has been developed after close dialogue with the market through so-called technical market dialogues. Together with our consultants NNZH aims to establish a close and open cooperation with the coming main contractor, so that all competencies come into play at the right time and risks related to the construction can be handled in cooperation step-by-step and with the appropriate distribution of responsibilities,” says Sune From, Project Director.
