UCSF - Center for Health Research, is a research unit common to the university hospitals of The Capital Region of Denmark. The research center is primarily directed towards professional groups that have educational backgrounds within professional healthcare. UCSF is led by a steering committee and is anchored at Rigshospitalet.
Purpose of UCSF
- To develop and realize close-to-patient clinical intervention research in an interdisciplinary cooperation, through research
- To advance research professional competences through research counseling and tuition primarily directed towards health care professionals with profession bachelor educations
- To promote application of research results by supporting implementation of evidence-based knowledge
- To complete patient treatment (Body & Cancer/EXHALE) that relate to research activities at UCSF
The scientific basic activities consist of completion of research projects, research counseling and tuition in combination with development of theory and methods.
To fulfill these purposes, UCSF intends to:
- Initiate and carry through with research projects in collaboration with the hospitals and psychiatric department of the Capital Region
- Initiate, support and provide scientific guidance to PhD students
- Provide research courses and tuition programs
- Initiate projects in cooperation with the hospitals' research units and clinical environments
- Inspire researchers to join and build social networks – both in the Capital Region as well as in international and Nordic research networks
