I hold a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from University College Copenhagen and a master’s degree in health sciences from the University of Copenhagen. I have previously worked with quantitative research and systematic review methods.
My master’s project evaluated the association between post-operative fat mass changes and the risk of breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL), in a Danish cohort of women operated for breast cancer, who were followed prospectively by repeated bioimpedance spectroscopy measurements of body composition and lymphedema index (L-Dex).
My current work includes conducting a systematic review under the supervision of Kira Bloomquist, senior research at UCSF. The aim of the systematic review is to evaluate the reliability and validity of breast cancer-related lymphedema diagnostic tests. This work is in collaboration with lymphedema therapists and researchers at the Capital Region Hospital System and Griffith University, Australia.
