History

CAMES in its present institutional form came into being in late 2014, as a result of a
merger of two related entities based on a shared ambition of providing superior simulation-based teaching, training, development, and research with international standard and scope.
Today the location of the CAMES institution is physically divided between Herlev Hospital and the National Hospital (Rigshospitalet), combined with a couple of satellite activities in central Copenhagen.

Profile

Through its focus on research-based educational practices and advanced performance feedback mechanisms within medical simulation, CAMES plays a pivotal role in optimizing standards related to areas, such as patient safety, educational excellence, clinical procedures, data sustained documentation and value-based offerings. To further advance its ambitions and activities CAMES welcome external cooperation opportunities with institutions and industry.
