Instructor Course - Level 2

The advanced instructor course consists of two modules of two days each and builds on the basic instructor course (level 1) along with the participants' experiences since the first course.

Learning objective

The participant will acquire:

  • Methods for reinforcing and optimising the use of non-technical skills, the concepts in the scenarios and the debriefing.
  • Tips and tricks for a successful debriefing (handle the "difficult" parts of the scenarios, how to avoid or handle the difficult debriefing).
  • Information on how we create reflection and the barriers that can obstruct this.

Plenary and group sessions, debriefings and participant scenarios. ​

Target group

Healthcare professionals about teaching in simulation based training.

​Participants are simulation facilitators who have completed a basic instructor/facilitator course and who have acquired a good amount of simulation experience (preferably 25-30 debriefings).

Instructor courses can also be held at the clients' location provided they have adequate facilities.


12000 DKK per participant.

The fee includes food and drink at the course, one evening dinner and course materials.

Transport and lodging are not included.

Unless otherwise agreed, cancelling is free until 12 weeks before the course starts. If cancelling 12 – 6 weeks before the course starts 50% of the fee is charged. Less than 6 weeks from course start the full amount is to be paid.
