Line Bentsen er læge og ph.d. fra Københavns Universitet og er postdoc ved Afdeling for Kræftbehandling, Rigshospitalet, samtidig med at hun er i H-stilling i klinisk onkologi på OUH. Hun har erfaring med både kvalitative og kvantitative metoder og studiedesigns. Hendes forskningsprofil er forankret i klinisk cancerforskning med særligt fokus på fertilitet og familiedannelse, seksualitet samt livskvalitet hos unge voksne med kræft. Hun bidrager aktivt til det nationale, tværfaglige forskningsnetværk NAYACareDK som medstifter og styregruppemedlem og samarbejder med European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) i livskvalitetsgruppen. Aktuelt er hun tovholder for et DCCC-støttet projekt om livskvalitet hos unge voksne under og efter strålebehandling samt et kvalitativt, NAYACareDK-forankret projekt om relationen mellem unge voksne med kræft og deres unge voksne pårørende under et kræftforløb.
