Research and Knowledge Unit for Cancer and Young Adult Health

FOKUS aims to strengthen research, knowledge translation, and practice about and with young adults (18–39 years) living with or beyond cancer. The objective is to generate, consolidate, and share knowledge that makes a tangible difference in healthcare services and in the lives of young adults - both during and after a cancer trajectory.

The head of the unit is Professor and Senior Consultant Helle Pappot. Together with physiotherapist and PhD Maria Aagesen and doctor and PhD Line Bentsen, she forms the unit’s management team, which is responsible for day-to-day management. Other affiliated researchers are PhD student, nurse Sara Marie Hansen, PhD student, MSc in Medical Anthropology Lærke Bing Røikjer and MSc in Public Health, PhD Marie Ernst Christensen.

The unit is based at UCSF, Ryesgade 27, DK-2200 Copenhagen N.
